Purple Power ice melt super sacks

Purple Power is calcium chloride treated rock salt, dyed purple, sold as Michigan bulk salt to snow plow contractors. It works to -35F. The purple is so the parking lot still shows the pass after you leave.

Crews often use about 20 to 30 percent less than untreated white rock salt. The treated salt bounces less, so more of it stays on the lot. Bottom dump into the hopper. No hoop tent required.

Why the purple

White salt vanishes into snow, slush, and wet asphalt. By morning, a property manager can't tell if you were there. Purple parking lot salt stays visible. They don't have to take your word for it. They can look at the pavement.

Cold

The CaCl treatment is what gets it to -35F. Straight rock salt quits warmer than that. If you bid overnight lots and early call-ins in Michigan, that is the number that matters.

Vs untreated white

White salt looks cheaper on the invoice. Then you get the text asking if you skipped the lot. Purple is proof of work. Put it on the bid so the person paying already knows what they're looking for at 7am.

How you get it

1-ton (2000 lb) super sacks. Bottom dump into the spreader. Default order is 22 sacks on a flatbed semi to your yard. You need a forklift, loader with forks, or skid steer with forks on site.
