MichiganSalt sells bulk salt through michigansalt.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you place an order or request a quote, we collect your name, company name (if any), email address, phone number, delivery or pickup address, and the details of your order.

We do not collect or store credit card or bank account numbers. If you pay online, you pay on a secure QuickBooks payment page run by Intuit, and your payment details go straight to Intuit, not to us.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

• quote, invoice, and deliver your order;
• create your customer record and invoice in our QuickBooks Online account, and have QuickBooks email that invoice to you (invoices come from Augusta Lawn Care Services of Hudsonville, which handles MichiganSalt billing);
• check whether your invoice has been paid so we know when to schedule your order;
• contact you about your order.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We only share it with the services we need to run the business: Intuit QuickBooks (invoicing and payments), our web hosting provider, and our email provider. Each of them may only use it to provide that service to us.

QuickBooks connection

Our order system connects to our own QuickBooks Online company using Intuit's secure sign-in (OAuth 2.0). It can only create and read customers, invoices, and payment status in our own company. Connection keys are stored on our server, never in your browser, and all traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. We can disconnect it at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes, generally 7 years. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing hudsonville@augustalawncareservices.com.

Analytics

We use GoatCounter to count page visits. It does not use tracking cookies and does not collect personal information.

Security

We use HTTPS on our site and servers, limit access to order data to the people who need it, and keep passwords and keys out of our code.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
